The UP PCS J exam includes three stages namely, prelims, mains, and interview rounds. While the prelims is a screening stage, the marks of the mains exam and the interview rounds are combined for the final selection. The prelims is an objective-based exam consisting of 2 papers i.e., Paper I and Paper II. While Paper I is based on general knowledge and current affairs, Paper II includes law subjects.
